Fashion Terms explained…

21 03 2011

Turning fashion philistines into educated gentleman, one letter at a time.

A is for…

Al Paca. The natural fibre derived from the Al Paca Camelid (pictured above – possibly my new favourite animal). It can be light or heavy weight depending on how it is spun and is lustrous and silky. It’s often used for summer suits and linings and is naturally water repellent.

Alpaca has superior qualities to most wools and as it has no lanolin, it’s also hypoallergenic.
